About the Role

We are looking for a Staff AI Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping how we design, build, and scale AI systems at Calibrax, including agentic AI solutions and LLM-powered workflows. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll architect end-to-end ML systems, define best practices for MLOps and LLMOps, and influence the strategic direction of our AI platforms. You will drive innovation in model lifecycle management, infrastructure, and production-scale AI systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of large-scale machine learning systems, including agentic AI solutions, data pipelines, model deployment and monitoring.
  • Build agentic systems using frameworks like Google ADK, MCP and other emerging tools, enabling AI agents to perform complex, autonomous tasks.
  • Drive MLOps and LLMOps strategy, ensuring models and GenAI agents are production-ready, resilient, and continuously improving.
  • Partner with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to deliver impactful end-to-end AI solutions.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers, raising the bar for AI/ML engineering excellence across the team.
  • Evaluate and introduce emerging AI frameworks, LLM toolkits and infrastructure to advance Calibrax’s AI capabilities.
  • Establish technical standards and best practices for scalability, reliability, and ethical AI.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, software engineering, or related roles, with a proven track record of production-scale ML deployments.
  • Deep expertise in Python, ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow),
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps and LLMOps practices and tools (eg. MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes), and vector databases or embeddings stores (e.g., Pinecone).
  • Experience building agentic AI systems using frameworks like Google ADK, LangGraph or similar agent orchestration platforms.
  • Strong background in distributed systems, data engineering, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience designing scalable pipelines and architectures for high-volume, real-time ML applications, including agentic AI and multi-step LLM workflows.
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals, including system design, APIs, CI/CD, and performance optimization.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with long-term architectural vision and strategy.
